Thiyavat.
Thiyavat is another of my protagonist's names. It's based on "Thiavat," which is an alternate
spelling for Tiamat, a Sumerian/Babylonian dragon-goddess associated with chaos. Additionally, Tiamat is connected with some female apocalyptic characters of
interest to me from religious studies.
DJ_Jinx.
I originally chose the DJ name of Jinx for reasons discussed briefly here. I currently DJ once a month at Chimera.
Sin-Disruption.
"Sin" is the name of the protagonist of my novel in progress.
"Disruption" is my favored term for the "sin" of nonconformity. The name as a whole reflects my interest in the question
of whether a given evil is truly wrong (sinful) or only seems wrong because it serves to disrupt one's expectations, traditions, trends, etc.
Original choice of "Sin" also stems from a Nine Inch Nails song of the same title.

BA in Religious Studies and Applied Ethics, minor in English, at University of Calgary. MA in Religion, Culture and Society, at Lancaster University, UK. Currently pursuing my PhD in Religious Studies at U of C.
