Narrating Characters
There are seven main characters in "Angels of Disruption," who take turns narrating the action in first person. These characters are:

Sin Invokasha
A fallen Angel who has taken human form as a Tenebrae woman, Sin was originally created by the God Enuzir to play a particular role in the apocalyptic Purification. But she has since turned against Enuzir in order to prevent him from destroying the world. Having disappeared during a catastrophe several hundred years before, Sin awakens in the present - the eve of the apocalypse - haunted by traumas that she only partially remembers. Nonetheless, even at this late hour, she is determined to oppose Enuzir.
Jairus Blake
Another fallen Angel, much older than Sin, Jairus is an accomplished occultist who acts as Sin's mentor. As the first of Enuzir's Angels to turn against him and be cast down, Jairus bears grudges against Enuzir and broods constantly over the thought of revenge. He wears the form of a Celesti man, but he has transmuted his astral body into that of a Daemon. His Daemon name is Lazrathoth, a variant of his former Luminary name, Lazramael.
Leith Maya
Leith is the Angel Saraguel, incarnated in a Celesti human body in order to carry out Enuzir's bidding in the end times. Such a being is called an Irin. Psychically bound to Sin, Leith suffers a descent into psychosis upon her resurrection, and therefore obsesses over hunting her down and eliminating the problem.
Kiyoko Toubai
Kiyoko is of the Naia, a race of water-elemental Angels, but injuries she sustained at the hands of Enuzir's forces have brought her powers down to the human level. She is incarnated as a Lunae woman. Kiyoko was Sin's lover in the past, and has long grieved for her. She rejoices at Sin's resurrection, but neglects to consider what Sin may have gone through in the mean time.
Anihkesh
Banished female-Goddess counterpart of the God Enuzir. Seeking out Anihkesh ultimately becomes an essential component of Sin's counter-apocalyptic strategy. Exiled in isolation, Anihkesh has suffered a significant loss of self-awareness, but she is still motivated to assist in averting the end of the world.
Vyvid Mesmeru
A young man dragged into the intrigues of the Angels when his younger brother, Vyrus, accidentally revives Sin. A staunch atheist and nihilistic cynic, nothing prepares Vyvid for the world that he stumbles into.
Treacheris Yntrigu
A zealous believer in the Necronoctist faith of the Tenebrae, the very "religion of obscenity" that Enuzir wishes to erase from existence. And yet, Treacheris is also Sin's enemy, for in his capacity as Inquisitor he considers her a heretic and a traitor to the Tenebrae people. He may be the only one who really knows what happened to Sin several hundred years before.

Additional Main Characters
The following characters do not narrate but still play a significant role in the story:

Lady Sorrow Evoceshi
Lady Sorrow is linked to Sin's past via a complex web of intrigues. She possesses mysterious powers that she has also granted to her lover, Treacheris. But at the same time, there is also much that Sorrow keeps secret even from him, and many games which she plays with all who surround her.
Vyrus Mesmeru
Vyvid's younger brother, a teenaged miscreant who tends to get into things. While poking around in a forbidden place with his friends, he inadvertently revives Sin.
Hexx Chicaneri
A friend of Vyrus' and aspiring evocatrix, Hexx is brash and reckless. His sense of adventure played a role in the discovery of Sin by Vyrus, and he contributes indirectly to Sin's reunion with Kiyoko. Generally though, his obnoxious behavior and big mouth fail to be assets.
Mirrore Invokasha
Jairus' Tenebrae mistress. Mirrore is half-Lamia, and thus has close ties to the Kimerae.
Jinx
Although he is of mixed race, Jinx identifies with the Tenebrae and performs as an evocatrix, a mage-musician able to draw large quantities of magical energy from his audience. He calls his band "The Angels of Disruption," and both Vyrus and Hexx are fans of his. But because of the fame Jinx acquires outside of Methakasha by cashing in on the apocalyptic expectations of the Celesti and engaging in other sensational antics, the Inquisition sees him as an artistically-challenged buffoon who misrepresents Tenebrae culture as a whole, and persecutes those who display his insignia.
Fynaliti Sepulchraal
A member of the 'plague family' and servant of Ghenubis; a necromancer. Sin requires the assistance of the necromancers in order to reach the plane of (non)existence to which Anihkesh has been banished. But Fynaliti has doubts about Sin's integrity as a sorceress - doubts motivated by his allegiance to the Necronoctist Inquisition.
Tsion Cogvinsi, David Ether and Xius Poppei
Leith's brothers, other Angels working actively and publically in the human world as Irin. Leith intensely envies their crystal-clear psychic connection with Enuzir, a connection which in his case is polluted by his association with Sin. Leith's brothers tend to look down on him due to his supposedly flawed nature, pressuring him all the more strongly to prove his purity of heart and his loyalty to Enuzir.
