Races of Codixe
The Angellic world of Codixe exists on a higher plane than the human world. Its inhabitants include several species of Angels:

The Luminaries
Angels of Light, created by Enuzir by combining the Angels of Air (Sylfae) with the Angels of Fire (Jenisi). All of them are telepathically connected with Enuzir - save Lazrathoth (Jairus Blake) who was severed, and Saraguel (Leith Maya) whose connection is imperfect. Luminaries see humans as a flawed creation due to their materiality, and look forward to a future when human souls will be liberated from their earthly bodies and reunited with the mind of Enuzir.
The Daemons
Angels of Earth. Unlike the Jenisi, whom Enuzir originally created, the Naia, whom Anihkesh created, and the Sylfae, which the God and Goddess created together, the Daemons came into existence spontaneously, as a manifestation of primal energy. When they first appeared, Anihkesh accepted them but Enuzir saw them as dangerous. The resulting conflict culminated in Anihkesh's banishment to the abyss. Enuzir has subsequently become obsessed with wiping out the Daemons, as well as their adherents, the Tenebrae. Daemons see human physical existence as a unique opportunity that humans should appreciate to the fullest rather than denigrate. Their rejection of the notion that mind/soul and body can be separated without fundamentally altering the being in question, and their unusually positive view of the "gross" material plane, arouse both horror and incomprehension on the part of most other Angels.
The Naia
Angels of Water. The children of Anihkesh, they hid themselves when she vanished and Enuzir lost his mind. They have generally sought to remain neutral in the conflict between the Daemons and the Luminaries; they do not support Enuzir and his goals, but they feel they cannot afford to oppose him either. Many of them believe that existence, both human and Angellic, is an illusion, and so Enuzir's planned destruction of the world does not particularly disturb them. Naia urge humans to curb their desires and focus their minds inward, so that the suffering that embodiment causes them might be minimized.
The Sylfae and the Jenisi
Two races of Angels that existed in ancient times but are now believed to be extinct. They have few or no known worshippers in present-day Rhadixe. The Sylfae stressed love and the Jenisi stressed reason as values that would improve the quality of human life. At the same time, both the Sylfae and the Jenisi pitied humans for their short lives, and sought ways in which human souls might be preserved beyond physical death - a concern which the Luminaries have inherited and, so they believe, solved.
