Biography

After over a thousand years of war against the Daemons without having yet made a dent in their spells protecting the Nameless One, Enuzir contrived a new plan: since the Daemons were themselves formed of the blood of the Nameless One, he captured some of them and used their essence to craft a new being, whom he programmed as a Daemon with a Luminary’s mind. Thus, Thiyavat was born.

Thiyavat initially cooperated with Enuzir, but as she gained more self-awareness she began to realize that she was being exploited for the sake of his delusions. That is, in acting as the 'key' in the ignition of the divine technology that Enuzir intended to direct against the Nameless One, Thiyavat would not only assist him in destroying creation, but also she herself would ultimately suffer a particularly agonizing death in the process. To avoid this fate, she fled from Enuzir and hid amongst the Daemons. Fearing that the Daemons would use Thiyavat against them, the Luminaries retrieved her and attempted to turn her back to their side. When she remained steadfastly opposed, Enuzir decided to destroy her by converting her essence into light. In the process, Thiyavat was split between the larger part of her, which was successfully converted into light, creating Saraguel (Leith Maya), and the smaller part of her, which survived as a fragment of consciousness via incarnation in Rhadixe. This incarnation occurred during the later part of the 17th century, Second Aeon.

After her recovery, which Jairus Blake assisted in, Thiyavat, who took on the human name of Sin Invokasha, set about collaborating with Jairus in an effort to thwart Enuzir's ambitions. Toward this end, Sin studied magic intently. But at the same time, as a prestigious sorceress she also participated fully in the religious-social life of Drakhara, where Jairus and Sin both lived at the time. She had a number of affairs with high-ranking members of Tenebrae society, affairs that would ultimately have devastating fall-out.

Sin met Kiyoko Toubai through Jairus. The two became friends and lovers. Such an affair with a foreign outsider to Tenebrae society alienated Sin's former lovers. But these social intrigues seemed unimportant at the time, compared to the looming threat of the Celesti-Solari invasion. To facilitate the invasion, Enuzir intended to divert the flow of magic away from Rhadixe, a move which would severely cripple the magic of the Tenebrae. Sin, Kiyoko and Jairus tried to stop this from happening, but ultimately they lacked the power to succeed. Sin was separated from her friends when Drakhara fell to the enemy in Second Aeon 1800.

Her fate unknown, Sin was presumed dead until she was revived in Second Aeon, 1999, by Vyrus. Upon reunion with her friends, she was able to remember much of her past, but the circumstances of her "death" remained unknown even to her.
