Biography

Vyvid and his younger brother Vyrus have the same mother but different fathers (Vyrus is pure Tenebrae). When Vyvid was seven years old, his Tenebrae mother and Solari father divorced, and Vyvid went to live with his father in Keben. As a result, Vyvid was not present during a 1994 terrorist attack, in which a group of Celesti extremists crashed a Tenebrae coming-of-age ceremony in Methakasha, killed all of the adults (including Vyvid's mother and stepfather) and abducted the children, so that the irin could turn these children from Tenebrae into Celesti. Vyrus was the sole survivor of this incident.

Vyrus went to live in Keben with his remaining relatives. Vyvid soon became close to his younger brother, supporting him through a troubled time. Two years later, tragedy struck the family again when Vyvid's father died unexpectedly from a heart attack. This event left the brothers feeling rootless and isolated. When Vyvid's company offered him a promotion if he was willing to move to their new office in Methakasha, he was thus quick to accept, hoping that the change of scene would do both himself and Vyrus some good.

Unfortunately, between Vyvid's lack of familiarity with Tenebrae culture, and Vyrus' past traumas, neither brother was well-equipped to deal with certain aspects of life in Methakasha. The city's extremely liberal attitude toward substance use threatened both brothers with the opportunity for addiction. And a series of poor romantic choices left Vyvid with a thoroughly negative view of "temple drama." Nonetheless, over time Vyvid has largely managed to keep things on an even keel on the homefront, supporting both himself and his brother sufficiently to be able to tolerate his brother's "slacker" tendencies.

Prior to Vyrus reviving Sin Invokasha, Vyvid's primary interests included violent video games, recreational firearm usage, and ranting about how much he hates people. He soon finds, however, that Sin and her associates are far more interesting than any human beings he has previously encountered. And the further Vyvid and Vyrus get drawn into Sin's world, the more difficult it is for them to extricate themselves.
